So ya'll see how under everyone's avatar and posts number there is a place where it says exalt/smite and karma followed by a number?
So when you exalt someone there karma rises by one and when you smite them it decreases by one.
Keep in mind this can only be done once in a longish period of time.
Have fun abusing it.
